With more than 120 episodes spread out over seven seasons, “Scandal” was a television sensation during its six-year run on ABC. Kerry Washington took center stage as the first Black actress to lead a network drama in almost 40 years. She and many other members of the cast have been recognized for their outstanding performances throughout the beloved series.

Kerry Washington

As fans of “Scandal” will no doubt remember, Kerry Washington made her directorial debut with the tenth episode of the final season. It seems that she must have fallen in love with the work, as she has gone on to both direct and produce a number of projects since the series ended.

In 2019, she produced a television special called “Live in Front of a Studio Audience,” in which she also starred as Helen Willis of “The Jeffersons.” Washington then went on to produce and star in the Hulu miniseries “Little Fires Everywhere” alongside Reese Witherspoon.

Washington has been busy working on films, too, picking up roles in the movies “American Son,” “The Prom,” and “The School for Good and Evil.” It is rumored that she has a few other projects in the works, including the thriller “Shadow Force” and the war drama “Six Triple Eight,” directed by Tyler Perry.

In 2022, “Time Magazine” named Washington as one of its Women of the Year.

Tony Goldwyn

A man of many talents, Tony Goldwyn, has explored the breadth of the entertainment industry, joining the cast of everything from blockbuster movies to Audible audiobooks. Since 2018, Goldwyn has appeared in two hit biopics: “King Richard” and “Oppenheimer.” He also directed and starred in the comedy-drama film “Ezra” alongside Robert De Niro.

Goldwyn’s other notable projects include the supernatural Netflix series “Chambers,” the Broadway play “The Inheritance” (based on a novel by E.M. Forster), and the role of Theodore Roosevelt in the audiobook version of Alice Roosevelt Longworth’s autobiography.

Guillermo Díaz

Known to “Scandal” fans as the beloved Huck, Guillermo Díaz has continued to expand his television career since the end of the series. He joined the main cast of the sitcom “United We Fall” in 2020 and featured as a guest judge on season 11 of “Ru Paul’s Drag Race.” He has had a recurring role on “Law & Order: Organized Crime” from 2021 onward and also appeared in an episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”

Díaz has been active in the film industry as well, landing roles in the 2018 thriller “Warning Shot” and the 2022 romcom “Bros.”

At its peak, “Scandal” had an average of more than 12 million viewers per episode. As a result, the members of the main cast of “Scandal” have certainly cemented themselves in the ranks of TV history. We can’t wait to see where they go next!
